Asana

Asana is an awesome online platform for communication and project management. We’ll be using this to send messages, share files and track progress during the website design process. This will help alleviate content and images becoming lost in different email threads. Everyone loves email threads…right?! (Don’t worry you can still use your email. The messages will post directly to Asana!)
Once your project is underway, you’ll receive an email to set up your Asana profile and we’ll be off and running!
(P.S: Creating your user name and profile on Asana is optional but highly recommended, we understand if you don't want to add another tool/Account)

Google Drive

G. Drive is a great online file sharing platform. This isn’t necessary for every project, but it makes life easier, especially if you have more than 15-20 images for your website or if they’re too big to send through email or post on Asana, we will create a shared folder for the project and Invite you to upload your content in it. We can also use this to share important logins and credentials instead of sending them through email. for this we will need your Gmail email address so that we can send you the shared folder link and give you the necessary access.

Here's a quick video of how to use G.Drive to share content:

The design process

Designing (or redesigning) a website,  is an extensive process that can be overwhelming at times. To better help you understand what to expect during our web design and development, we’ve outlined our process into 3 easy steps:

1) Layout and initial design

The largest time consuming part of designing a website is this planning and layout stage of the process. This is where we’ll create the live sitemap (Page/Menu hierarchy) of the website then we’ll design the homepage and one more internal page (and show them to you + ask for your approval/changes)
**Note: Depending on the size and complexity of the website this stage could take anything from 1 week to 4+ weeks.
(not including the time it takes you to review and approve our work/ give us the changes that you need us to do)
The faster we receive your approval/changes, the faster we can move to the next step.

 2) Development

Once the site layout and initial design has been approved, we can then move forward with designing the rest of the pages on the site, adding your content as well as all functionality and plugins. We’ll make sure your site looks great and functions nicely across all devices and modern web browsers before moving to the final step.
We will also test the site's functionality and ensure that everything works (example: the contact us form is sending the emails etc.)

3) Edits & Revisions

Once the site is ready for your final review, you’ll be able to review each page and we can make the necessary content edits until the site is revised completely. We ask that you please review ALL pages to make sure all spelling, grammar, addresses and information are correct before going live.

"The Launch"

Wrapping Up & GOING LIVE!

Once the site is ready to go live, all unnecessary plugins, pages, images and backend files will be removed. The new site will be backed up and saved locally, should it ever need restored. Once live, it may take between 24-48 hours for the new site design to fully pull up on some devices. Some computers will need to be refreshed in order to see the new design, though most computers will see the new site immediately depending on their wifi connection and where they are in relation to the location of server that the website is hosted on.

Your website logins and all credentials will be sent to you via Asana or secure email insuring the security of your passwords. Though your logins and passwords will be saved by me locally, PLEASE SAVE ALL LOGINS FOR YOUR RECORDS AS WELL. Upon completion, you’ll receive a link to my “moving forward” page where you’ll receive tips and tricks on what to do with your new website and also information on our Maintenance/Security Plans
which I highly recommend for all my clients.
