5-Star Website Design Business Course — Josh Hall

Ever Wanted to Build a Web Design Business?

Josh Hall’s comprehensive video course about setting up and running a website design business is your fast track to building a profitable, sustainable, successful web design business. Josh Hall’s web design courses are the best! They JUST work!

I’ve found all of his courses to be complete, up to date, and easy to follow. Josh himself is always available though his student center for help you when you need him … he likes to go the extra mile.

I took his “Creating & Selling an Online Course, Course” and it saved me a TON of time and effort. Josh also sent me his “sales page” that I only had to tweak, add my details to, and I was selling my online course in no time.

His web design business course is similar, including templates, scripts, and contracts that you can use with the Divi Theme (by Elegant Themes) or easily create in whatever content management system or website builder you prefer.

What’s in Josh Hall’s Web Design Business Course?

This course includes everything you need as a web designer to get your web business started.

  • Choosing a business model: Information about and advice around how to decide on the best business model for you—do you want to be a freelancer or become an agency?
  • Pricing and packaging website design services: Concrete advice, tailored to web design and website development, about how to package up your services and how to price them to ensure profitability, and how to create attractive, compelling website project proposals.
  • Legal/Financial Matters: Advice on how to organize and plan for taxes and other legal/financial matters.
  • Templates and Scripts: All of his templates for proposals, contracts, and other business docs—free for you to use as-is or to adjust to your preferences. (Even if you’ve already set up some of these web design service fundamentals, it’s always helpful to “look under the hood” at someone else’s processes and standard operating procedures.)
  • Sales and Marketing: How to sell your website design services, as well as how to find new clients … even your first client.
  • Project Management: This course includes all the project management essentials that web designers need to know—how to onboard clients, how to encourage content arriving in a timely (and organized) way, dealing with and managing revisions, and “offboarding,” how to pass off a completed project to the client and train them in how to keep it up to date (or sell them a maintenance package so you can do this for them).
  • Answers to Your Questions in the Student Center Community: If you buy any one of Josh’s courses, you get complimentary lifetime access to the specific discussion thread for that course in the Josh Hall Student Center, a private online community. This is your place to ask any questions you might have so that Josh can answer them, but also gives you access to a wonderful community of current students and alumni of the course. This community is 100 times better than a Facebook group, and I’ve personally received business referrals from the club!

**Note that this course principally covers the business side of being a web design entrepreneur—he has other courses specifically on his web design process, designing with Divi + WordPress, and graphic design essentials.
